Blade CPP battery question...
1 Attachment(s)
Just got the Mega Power 32 Li-Po 15c 11.1v 1350 mAh batt.......It has the balance connector but the other side does not have the JST connectors. Just the lines and what appears to be a butt connector for a crimp splice. Do I simply get the JST's and trim the insulation and crip into the ends of the battery line??? Photo's attached.
TIA! Rikybob |
RE: Blade CPP battery question...
What gauge is the wire ? Maybe too big for JST connectors ? Bob |
RE: Blade CPP battery question...
Some batteries come with connectors, some don't. Your's didn't. The ends of the wires are simply tinned (with solder) and they have shrink tubing around the ends to keep the battery from shorting out. They don't have crimp connectors, and I wouldn't recommend using them.
You will have to install the type of connector you want. You can get a JST connector with leads and solder it to the battery leads. Or you could get a Deans Ultra connector (or other connector which comes with both sides) and solder it to your battery and to your Blade. |
RE: Blade CPP battery question...
Thanx for the replys. I think the exisiting connectors that I have off an old 7.4v Lipo are too small. I need to p/u the right guage connector from my LHS and solder them on.
