hyperion vs thunder power

Does anyone have experience with both the hyperion G3 lipos and the xtreme Thunder Power lipos.

I need to replace my hyperion 3s 2200mah litestorm vx 23c packs and am looking at either the hyperion g3 or the TP extremes.

I'm a little leary of the hyperion g3 because my current litestorms have not performed well. I have an extreme flight edge 540t with a torque 2818/900 motor and airboss elite 45 amp esc and a 12x6 prop that draws 27 amps at full throttle and the packs only provide 9.5 volts right off a full charge. The packs only have around 40 cycles on them and only provide about 6 minutes flight time and get extremely hot, around 125 to 130 degrees.

The same plane and set up with the TP Extreme 3s 2200 mah 30c packs draws 37 amps at full throttle and provides 11.5 volts right off full charge and stay very cool around 105 degrees.

So I am leaning towards the TP for replacement.

But I originally bought the hyperion litestorms and the hyperion eos1210i charger and LBA balancer because of being able to charge at 2c rates. And now the G3 are claiming 5c charge rates with charge times in the 12 minute range. So I might be swayed back to the hyperion brand if someone with experience with both the G3 hyperions and the TP extremes can provide me with useful comparisons.

Thanks so much for all replies.

I think you mean TP pro lite V2 and TP pro power, I had one 3S TP extreme pack and one TP extreme v2 pack both didn't last long not good batteries. The extremes have been replaced by the pro lite V2 and Pro power packs. I have 12 different sizes of both pro lite v2 and pro power and all hold there voltage, your setup using 3S 2250 pro power pack (fresh) I would exept to see a voltage at around 11 volts maybe 11.2. I've had to reprop some of my setups due to the extra watts (higher battery voltage). I have no experience with G3s but understsnd there good.
Hope this helps
Tony

Thanks. I did mean the pro power.

If anyone is using the hyperion G3, I would still like to hear about those as well.

Hi,
My question is to cornj. I have 3s2200 V2 extreme packs and wanted to buy a few more packs, are you saying the 2250 pro power packs are a better battery? I guess the extreme are 25c and the 2250 pro power are 30c and about 8 bucks cheaper.

Yes the Pro Power and Pro Lite V2 are much much better, this from Thunder Power.
I buy from:

From Jason at Thunder Power
Also, while our now-discontinued eXtreme V2 series batteries were built using Enerland cells (many of which are now actually manufactured in China, no longer in Korea), our all-new Pro Lite V2 and Pro Power 30C product lines are not for a variety of reasons (power delivery and cycle life are among some of them).
