Blade CP Pro How-To Question
How do I remove the tail rotor housing assembly from the tail boom? Seems like it's glued in and wondered if there is a way to remove it without breaking the boom?
Thanks for any tips

RE: Blade CP Pro How-To Question
ca debonder is great for wood and other porous joints, but imo it doesn't work well hard/hard surface bonds (like plastic/cf). you may have to just use brute force. take an x-acto and cut a slot in one side (left or right), taking care not to cut into the cf boom or wires. jab a flathead screwdriver or similar into the slot you cut, and twist it until it pops off on one side (top or bottom). once you break one side loose, you should be able to easily peel it off the boom with some needle nose pliers leaving no real damage. the cf in the boom peels apart easily in a very thin layer instead of the ca joint itself, so it's hard to get bad results as long as you don't cut deep into the boom with your knife or something. i've done 4 tail jobs and find this way to be the easiest.

Trugoldite is right, but I also used CA Debonder. I let the debonder sit on the joint for about 20-30 min, then used the xacto and screwdriver to complete the job.

Use heat. Either a heat gun, or a candle VERY CAREFULLY. Make sure you rotate the heat or you'll melt the plastic. after a few seconds it'll work loose.

RE: Blade CP Pro How-To Question
I used "un-cure" ca debonder. I had to wait and work it into the area for about 10 minutes. The tail motor mount came right off. The other end of the boom took a little work but it did work! Word to the wise! Clean your parts before you put them back together or your parts won't CA back together as easily.
