Default Problems with blade cp: HELP!!

Hey, ive had numerous problems with the blade cp pro, and although they are fairly small, it would at least be helpful to know the cause of
them so here goes...

-In the middle of flight, the blade cp jolts for a split second as if the motor cut out, or the throttle reversed on me, then goes back to regular flight

-When i land for a short break and keep the motor running (by "break" i mean just to adjust the trim on the transmitter) both the tail and main motors die on me, and the servos continue to work. The red light goes on, and to fly again i have to unplug the battery then plug it back in. I also felt it once at this point, and realized it was really hot (is this normal?) Oh one more thing to add here, this happens
when I land on grass, so the tail motor usually gets stopped by the grass, which may lead to a burnout or something. Maybe the motors just shut off because of that, I really don't know.

-Sometimes when i fly, mostly near the beginning of the battery life, the servos jerk to the right suddenly, then jerk again, so i constantly have to push the control stick to the left (this is not because i am setting the trim to far to the right, it just jerks randomly, then goes back to an even balance)

Im hoping that all these problems are all being caused by one faulty part (im thinking it could be the 3 in 1, because all three of the problems are control problems.

Hey stevo,

Sounds like you might have a radio (glitching) issue going on, at least on problems number one and three...

Have you checked to make sure the batteries are good on the transmitter?

Is the antenna extended fully on the transmitter?

Does it do this if you try flying it in a totally different area (interference from something?)?

Just some ideas to toss around...

Glenn

Yeah, i just tried changing the batteries to no avail and i have my antenna almost fully extended on the transmitter, even though most of the time i'm flying in a 30 ft range. After reading what you said i also thought of the radio crystals, and made sure they were both seated properly, but i dont think it has helped much.

All that you state are the ugly traits of the blade CP.

To help the glitching, make sure you point the radio antenna up(45 deg) and not horizontal. Every time the CP goes through the antenna plane it will glitch like a SOB.

Good luck....

Are you sure it's not a 3 in 1 problem?

I recomend you attempt to do some bench testing to try and rule out some possible factors, it sounds like during the grass landings , that the heli is clicking out of " armed" mode , and thats isn't exactly normal, at least not in my experiance , try and find somthing smooth to land on , that will give the tail rotor clearance to spin freely and see if it still has the same effect of poping out of armed mode. also try unpluging both motors and with them unpluged from the mixer unit test the servos through all the ranges of travel and see if there are any uncommanded twitches. its certainly possible that the 3in1 has issues , but I agree that interfearance of some sort sounds more likely. the other issues sound to me a bit like a bad electrical connection some where in the system. I have had minor issues where the heli seems to spasm in flight , but have never had the issue you destribe about having to unplug and re arm they heli every time you land in grass. thats not normal for the blade cp pro in my experiance. wish ya luck finding the problem

also is your antena on the blade in the stock location on the right skid? if its too close to some of the electronics that can cause some issues like you describe as well.
