I cannot answer your question 100% as I went Hitecs 65MG...............However when your heli came stock with the stock servos, while they are digital they ARE NOT RUN in digital mode from the factory. If you look at your Gyro you will see it is normal mode! The digital signal throughs more load on the ESC. Now it just keeps up with the anolog signal.
Catch : Rotorydoc on..... "Are these blades ok for a CP Pro" on the main page, he has them as I remember, but I know he is not running digtially.
Good Luck JPee

Digital servos due put more of a load on the ESC, but running just one digital servo should not draw too much power. That servo you are asking about is a popular one and I think it does take the signal, but ask your LHS first.

RE: blade 400 tail servo question?
The DS285 is a digital servo and will acept the gyro being in the digital mode. You should have no problem running that servo on the tail, Except it's not a high speed servo that would be better for elev/roll/cyclic. I use the DS285 servo's for my 120 degree CCP on my Blade 400 and I run the JR DS3400G on the tail.
