Default Can this be used

I was looking at new ESC's and came across this one. Castle Creations Phoenix 45 Brushless Motor Speed Controller ESC 45A. Does anyone know if it compatable with the blade 400 or is it to much ESC? Is 35 amps the largest I should go?

man how fast do you need your 400 to go.you can go past the heli`s capablities.to much head speed can do more harm than good.have you ever seen blades disenagrate.i have it just spin`s to fast.alot of blades are not made for that high of rpm`s

It is a bit over kill for the stock motor, but Castle Creations makes really good ESC's. I have them on all of my helis. But if you plan on upgrading to one of the Scorpion motors in the future that would be perfect. I think the 2221-8 uses the 45A ESC. The Scorpion motors have a lot of power I have one on my T-Rex 450 and love it.
