Whats up guys. Well I cdame from the Traxxas Monster Truck part of RCU but i've decided to try my hand with air instead of land (kinda burn't out with the RC cars). Anyway, I have been looking at the Balde CX2 and I was basically was wondering if its a good trainer chopper. I've really never flown anything before (especially choppers) but I figured I would try my hand in it. I really like the CX2 because it's coaxial blades are supposed to be good for new piloted plus it includes a decent radio, a battey/charger, etc. I was also planing on getting the training gear just for safety reasons
. So, what do ya guys think? Would it be a pretty good training for me?

I'm also coming from the world of Traxxas trucks (Stampede, E-Revo) and I have a CX2. I got it for Christmas last year but I haven't flown it much at all. I hear great things about it but the learning curve is a little steep for me as I've had more than my fair share of crashes. I've read that the Blade MCX is a great 1st chopper too and a bit cheaper than the CX2. It shares many of the same features.

i have a new e-maxx and redcat rampage 1/5 scale gas 4x4 monster truck setting on the shelf, both new never ran, just kinda lost interist in the trucks for now... needed somthing new. did some research and bought a cx2... i'm now hooked, i run 2-3 packs a night thru it after the family goes to bed. on about my 20th pack now and can hover nose in and do circles, i know sounds like no big deal, but just wait and see. my 179.00 cx2 is now my 300.00 cx2, but you dont have to spend $ if you dont want to, i just wanted to upgrade some and personalize her. it now fly's smoother, steadier and faster... and the more you fly the better you get, every time i try to improve a little bit, it's a great feeling to do something new, smoothly. so ya, if you want something new in rc to try, the cx2 is a great place to start, just buy lots of blades, like about 20, 2-5 batteries, and a couple little pieces of aluminum and clear out the garage... it will be the new heli-port.
i also ran the training gear about 10-12 battery packs, they save a lot of grief.

I have the boomtown skids also they are great. The only problem i have with mine
is if it sets too long they will spread out a little. I put a rubber band to hold them
together while its not flying. If you move your linkage arms in a hole it realy flys a lot
faster and if you do it watch out you might have to do a little triming but well worth it.
