MCX is the way too Go ! It fly real nice, steady hovers well and moves around at a beginners pace, you can get pretty zippy with it if you'd like, But take it slow and you'll Love it. Its cheap to repair if need be. There are nice little hop up for it. Glow in the dard stuff =sweet. Get youself a xtra battery too. I suggest a Tenergy 130 mah. It lets you get a little more time in the air. And it only takes 20 minutes to recharge your batteries for that 6 to 7 min flite. You can fly longer but be easy on your batteries and they will last. Dont fly untill the little light blinks , cut it short, time it and shut down about 30 sec sooner or maybe even one min. Beleave me you get one of these and you won't be sorry.

What is "better for beginners" and "easier to fly" are two different things.
The mCX is the easiest to fly, hands down. It will pretty much fly itself and you can learn to "master" it within an hour if you put your mind to it. Think of it as a really fun "toy" (I am going to get in trouble for calling it a "toy", but that is just my opinion.). Note that there is nothing wrong with wanting to buy a toy. I own an mCX and have a blast with it!
The CX/2 is a great heli for a beginner RC Heli Hobbyist. It requires a bit of skill and some learning. You will break parts when you crash, so you will start to learn about how to repair and "tune" a heli. As the CX/2 is a coaxial design, it is far more "stable" and easy than a "proper" heli that has a fixed or collective pitch system. You also have more ability to upgrade and "bling" the CX/2 than the mCX.

The MCX and the CX2 is the way to go, instead of taking my word or anyone else word how about countless YouTube video's. The Heli-Max Helicopter are pure CRAP! I was able to hover nicely with my new Blade CX2 I bought last week new for $139.99 at my LHS, since then I removed 14.6g of weight by removing the rear tail end body and bought a carbon fiber tail & boom kit (BoomTownHobbies) adding only 5.3g of weight.

If you are looking for a CX2. I am selling one. I am going to get an MCX. The CX2 is too big and powerful for flying in the livingroom. (atleast mine). My Son has a MCX and we have a great time with it.

My MCX is awesome for in house Flying, My Son and Buddy are getting one A.S.A.P . They love it too. Easy to fly, Great for living rooms 14' by 20' or there about. The MX2 needs more room , I just pretty much Hover mine in the house for practice. And it pretty much does that itself. Its Just a tad too big for my house and the stuff in it. I won't chance to hitting my 55" H.D.T.V ect. [X(] I'll wait to fly it on a calm day out side . These are only my opinion , do your searching read up ,ask what your asking and Make "your choice" I'm sure there are some {OTHER GOOD HELI'S} out there. Good Luck Have fun

I started out with an Esky Lama v4 (basically the same as a CX2). After crashing it, and breaking parts, I decided to get an Mcx. I LOVE the Mcx. It is much better for indoor flying, much more forgiving, and much more durable. I have run it into many things...walls, ceiling, furniture, without any damage. Between the two for ease of flight and for a beginner, I would go with the Mcx HANDS DOWN!!!

We really enjoy the MCX in our home compared to the CX and CX2. I thought it was easier to fly than the larger twin rotor types. Loads of fun with the MCX and we do not replace blades very often when compared to the CX series.
