Default TRex bling to fit on Blade400?????

Somebody posted this link in another post.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Metal-Main-Rotor...item2308594bcf

These prices are verrrrrry good, almost too good. Does anybody have any experience on this and can I use those parts on my Blade 400?

Help will be appreciated.

Looks like the same item that Hobby King has for 27.99 or so. I have two of them. There is quite a bit of slop (play), but it did whitstand a few crashed. Feathering shaft is not same as the plastic head from HK. I believe it's the V2 type.

That I don't know. But I have never heard of a 450 main rotor be retrofitted to a Blade 400.

It can be done but you wouldn't see any advantages of installing a cheap clone 450 head. You would get the same results as buying one designed for the 400. If you want to spend $170 on a genuine 450 head, then you will see an improvement.. I can't remember what the mod you have to do with the shaft, but I think you have make the shaft a bit shorter to make it work.

Thanx Solman. Your reply is what I needed............. now I know what to do. My future plan will now be to upgradethe servo's and gyro first, then I will get some www.microheli.combling. If I look at the difference that stuff did to my mSR it will be worth while.

I would stay away from Microheli. I have found their parts less than desirable. I had a swashplate and tail drive case from them. The swashplate was bending at the ball links and the tail drive case snapped in half. The tail case was not the result of a crash, but a result of being poor quality. They appear to use soft aluminum and it doesn' hold up well. They told me that they would send me a replacement, but I never received it. I don't care for the blue coat on E-Flite stuff, but it is built much better.

After this happened, I bought the E-flite version and noticed that it was thicker aluminum and much more durable.
