Gyro Blade450 settings well off?

I got the BNF version of the Blade 450, copied the intermedite settings listed in the manual, but found the standard Gyro setting is well off the mark, get tail wag at those settings, which is 77.5%, dropped it down to 65%, even 60% and no tail wag.

How can they get their settings so wrong? Or do all the copters very? Also seen some videos of the Blade 450 and they have also used Gyro setting of 60-65%

Hello; I'm still looking for the right set-up for my recently acquired 450
blade. As close as I can come seems to tear off the ground and immediately roll right.
I realize that it might be better that I do all the expensive crashing on the flight simulator

I've seen Blade 450's flown in a controlled way, but mine doesn't go that way.

I put all thje settrings that came with the Bllade manual and work fine. The only thing that was off was the Gyro setting listed.

Gyro settings vary with tail rotor speed, tail blades, gyros, and transmitters. You can increase the resolution of the tail servo by moving the pushrod ball closer to the center of the servo wheel. Doing that will allow you to increase your gain. If the gain you have now is working stick with it and don't worry too much about what E-flite recommends. Finless bob on Helifreak has some great videos about setting up gyros.

Gyro settings depend on how far from center you have your tail servo set. It is suppose to be 7-9 mmls from center.I had mine at 12 mmls and gyro gain was 62% any higher and I got wag. I reset the servo link to *mmls this morning and now have 77.5% gain with no wag.
