In your CP you will need to split your 4 in 1 to be able to use the Spektrum Radio. Here are the pics of the inside of the 4 in 1 http://www.rfcafe.com/references/art...P%204-in-1.htm if you look at the header on the control board you can figure out what line goes where. Here are my settings for the Spektrum radio: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_47...tm.htm#4795828 I have seen a set of instructions somewhere but I cant find them again as I'm an electronics guy I can just read the circuit off the board so I did not save them. |

ok from what I can tell from the pictures:
(I still am working on getting my son a DX6 for his Blade) It looks like you just have to pull the boards apart and add a couple of servo extensions to plug into the DX6 Receiver (make sure the leads are in correctly and wired right) The Receiver will get it's power from the controller side. OK so I just ordered my CP Pro, reading through all of you guys posts, what are the MUST HAVES for starting out "spare parts"? What kind if main blades & tail, you mention Plasti blades I know i will have stock but you mention flat bottom? Where do you get them? Extra parts what should I stock up on? Will the CP training gear fit the pro?

I've had a few flight blade strikes on the ground and the tail boom.
Whatever material they're made of shatters somewhat easily, but is repairable with CA. The blade covering falls off. I replace it with covering tape used on a ZAGI. I have a set of Plasti-blades on order. I'm on my 4th tail rotor. The drive pins shear off easily on ground encounters. Don't fly near grass. :) My main drive gear is missing two teeth, where the drive motor ground away when the rotor was stalled against the ground. Other than a slight ping at slow speeds, it doesn't appear to have any effect on flight. I've bent the main shaft. It straightens relatively easily. Getting the rotor rotor head off it required fine filing of the burrs around the hole where the rotor head pin goes. With the plane up and some distance away, I've had trouble seeing which side I'm looking at.. it gets real small real fast, so I painted one side of the canopy dayglow red to ease that problem. The training gear is a snap-on. Other than fingering out how to do that, it's worthwhile having. |

Plastic blade are not that good after all. When drop on the side it cause the tail boom to shadder to pieces but still workable by put clear tape over it. Fly on the grass good for crash landing but not for practicing. My tail gear lost with it hit the tar surface with crack on it. Need solid concrete. Mistake and learn. No rush getting up the ground to hover because you will regret it if crash.

well Now I know it can be done, cause you guys have done it, I am back on my I want a heli mode, everytime i get the cash to buy one i always back out, cause I am thinking these things
Noone to help me : (beside online people) Lots of money lost in broken stuff lots of time lots and lots of time into it no where to fly inside, outside will be to windy blah blah I guess i need to just get in my car drive to the hobby shop and buy one and be done with it, once i buy it it will either have to be flown or be a Big paper weight right... so what blades are best to put on for learning ? |

I just purchased a blade cp three days ago, I also purchased RealFlight G3 simulator about 1.5 week(s) ago and have been practicing on it for about 20 hours now, I have been flying the !QUOT!Watt Not (Electric)!QUOT! helicopter in the sim with the head holding gyro turned off and it flies just like the blade cp except that the blade is easier to fly!!! I can hover reasonably well in my living room and if I find a weak point in my technique I goto the simulator to work it out and that seems to be a good strategy to learn how to fly on these things, I feel this heli is PERFECT for beginners because it is affordable, complete, reasonably durable, parts are easily available, great support, wide knowledge base on the net, I can go on and on about the advantages of this great mini heli. I STRONGLY recommend getting a good sim where you can edit the aircraft and the environments you are flying in I know that is why I am doing so well with this heli thing as I have not flown anything RC for about four years now.

Rick I was flying that FS1 sim today in the hobby shop and its a amazing sim wish it would work on my computor. so relaistic the guy in the shop thought i was doing great said the real heli should be no trouble for me |

What do I need to do (pre-flight) to get a Blade CP Pro up and running (blades spinning with little to no sliding/drifting). I will follow RADDs school but I just need to know what I need to check pre-flight. I just found out about the blade balancing and now someone said something about trimming the 4 in 1, that's new. What do I need to do exactly?
