Main blade adjustment

Hello fellows......

I feelt on my mainblades today and they feel alittle bit sloppy in the sideways. When i bought the heli they where more stiffer then now.

I dont mean the screw who actually tight the blade, I mean the screw who attach the blade holder with the the spindle.

RE: Main blade adjustment

Hopfully I am understanding what your saying.....There are two o-rings that are on the center hub that the spindle goes through. As you use your heli these o-rings will become warn and will be more stretched out. IMO holding the center hub straight up and down you should not be able to touch the end of the blade to your boom. If you can then it is time to replace these o-rings. Take care in replacing them, you can stretch them out durring instalation. You may also want to install a couple shims. These shims (you can get them from horizon hobby) will make it even stiffer. Hope this helps.

Magnolia,

Jent's right about the o-rings wearing out and that you may have to add a shim. But first take off both blades, and make sure that the screws holding the blade grips to the rotor head are tight. You'll need to allen wrenches to do this. One goes in each of the blade grips to tighten the screws. If they are tight, o-rings first, then a shim if needed. Don't forget to put a drop of oil in there once and awhile.
