Flight Tech Head Unit
 

I have waited to be sure of my evaluation before I made this post. I recently purchased the Flight Tech head unit and I am completely satisfied with it. The yo-yoing that I had been experiencing with my Pro has been eliminated. I did replace a lot of the linkages so they would be new, but I can assure you, if you held this head in your hands, you would see how smooth it is compared to the stock unit. It is especially smooth when you twist it a bit like it would be under load with the rotors spining. The stock unit alway bound when I did this, no matter what I did to try to correct it.

The service is beyond compare. If you go to his site and read the reviews, I can completely understand why they are all five for five. Andy, at Flight Tech has gone out of his way to make my dealings with him to be very rewarding.

The head is expensive, for just a head unit, but for me it has been worth it. Oh, and BTW, the new head has a button on top.

Orl,

So are you using the stock grips, flybar cage, swash, etc? This looks like just the center part. If it solves the yo-yo issue alone, then it is a bargain compared to the all metal heads like the microheli or the HDX units.

BTW: has anyone switched the links from the servos to ball links rather than "Z" bends? If so, where do you find miniature units?

everythings stock except for the center hub and rotor head. The pin is different, too, slightly larger diameter.

I'm sure you noticed he has other parts also, such as alum. mainframe, boom, etc. I can't vouch for them, but if they are of the quality of the head assy., they're good.
