Blade CP and Eclipse 7 settings

I have tried to search for settings to program my Eclipse 7 radio with a Blade CP. I can get everything to function, but the fine points are less than desired. The CP works fine with the stock controller, but with the Eclipse it will jump off the ground. Anyone using the same radio? If so, would you share your settings? I disconnected the main and tail motor and tried to duplicate the stock radio for throws, but it still jumps. Also, I have very little heli experience and this is a first at programming a radio in Heli mode. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Altrex

I can share the settings that I used to set the blade cp up with an Eclipse 7. No guarantee that they will work on yours though.
The settings worked quite well, no adjustments were made to the helicopter linkages.

Radio settings:

Heli
PPM
Negative shift
Swash 120

Reverse channels 2 and 6
EPA setting on channel 3 L/U set at 125% ( so unit will arm). All other EPA's at 100%
Exponential at -10% Channel 1, 2 and 4
Swash setting CH#1 @ +70, Ch#2 @ +70, Ch#6 @ +70
Throttle curve (normal) 0, 25, 50, 70, 90
Pitch curve (Normal) 50, 55, 60, 65, 70
RVMX @ 0

These setting are far from tweaked, they were just a test to see how the heli responded(it flew quite well with the above settings). There was such an improvement that I went ahead and programmed it on my Futaba 9C, what a treat to fly now.

Hope the setting help you out, you just need to keep tinkering with the throttle and pitch curves until you get everthing going smooth.

Thanks for the post. I will give it a try.

Hey will1563,

Worked great! The heli still comes up quick at high throttel, but it is A LOT better. I can actually fly it now with the Eclipse. I am a little confuse on how the throttle and pitch curves work. I would have thought that you would want them to start at 0 and end up at 100. If anyone could expand on this and what I would be looking for in onder to fine tune, that would be great. Thanks for your help.

Altrex,

Try setting you pitch curve at 50, 53, 58, 63 and 68.

This should help out a little.
Without trying it out, its kind of hard to give you good settings.

Bill
