Total newb needs setup help
Ok, my blade wants to start to hover then wants to lose control. My blae has been upgraded to the super skids. I replaced my plastic head with the cnc head which made it able to hover at all. I think I need to adjust my trims, bu am not sure where everything should be. I guess i'm looking for a general setup to start with.

RE: Total newb needs setup help
I'd like to help, but my blade CPPPro "wants to lose control" too. That's why I have to keep flying it...
What is your experience level? I put a basic setup in a nutshell over on the BCPP thread, it applies to the BCP too, don't know if that's what you mean by "adjust your trims"... For a normal takeoff with the stock transmitter and a well-setup helicopter you should not need any trim at first, depending on a lot of things... (I mean all transmitter trims set neutral/centered, except for throttle trim which should be set low) If you can give more details about your problem someone might be able to help more. |
RE: Total newb needs setup help
Ok question, the above helicopter is the stock blade cp pro. I am building the cnc hdx 300 with the belt drive. Is there a big difference in the handeling with direct drive versus seperate tail motor.

RE: Total newb needs setup help
That blade repair site is a good tool to use.

ORIGINAL: trouthunterHeliFreak That blade repair site is a good tool to use. I was going to put it on the ceiling as a fan/smoke disperser. |
RE: Total newb needs setup help
Yes, the difference is that the belt-drive system has a controllable-pitch tail rotor and it will be much more responsive to your rudder inputs than the separate tail-motor types. Gyro will hold better, etc.

RE: Total newb needs setup help
So should I train with the superskids and work up to the direct drive.
|
RE: Total newb needs setup help
good information for the blade cp, but is there anything around that could help me with the blade cx?

RE: Total newb needs setup help
Big CX and CX2 threads under EFlite helicopters. Lots of help there.
