Broken TX antenna

I have a broken spectrum 2.6ghz antenna on the TX for my CX2. I ordered a new one, but it will not be here till some time in January or February. Does anyone know where I can get one sooner or have a way that I could fix something so I can fly. I did find a antenna wire like the one from the TX it is not as thick but the plug works. It plugs on a small board in the TX. I routed it up into the broken antenna and fixed it all with electrical tape. Is there some type of difference in a 2.4 ghz antenna verses a wireless antenna from a old laptop( that is were I got the wire from). I do notice that my servos (left and right control) will pitch hard left and hang making a whining noise. I have to disconnect the battery and turn off the transmitter to fix this issue. I feel this is a signal issue. Any help would be greatful.

It broke at the swivel point then the wire got pulled loose. It pulled (the wire)off the gromet that connects it to the little board in the transmitter. I am going to try a little reverse engineering at home and see what I can come up with as a temp. fix and the wait continues.

I took the stock antenna apart, replaced the wire with a simalar wire. Resoldered it back in place on both ends. I can now go about 400+ feet out and no problem. As with the cx2 the servo was shorting(that is what the hobby guy told me). They are sending me a new one ASAP. Other than that the CX@ is awsome and fun to fly.

I figured it would only be a matter of time before I broke off the little 3dB antenna so I have already modded it to a replaceable style. Now I can also change it out to any number of High-Gain Antennas that we stock. 3dB, 5dB, 7dB or 9dB. Range should not be a problem. 3dB and 7dB pics attached.
