2 Blade CPPs ???
 

I've been lurking around these forums for a while now. And it is very impressive how informative, creative, and overall cool the members are.

So, this forum has talked me into buying a Blade CPP for my first heli. I have some r/c experience, but most of all, I took the great advice here and bought the G3.5 simulator. At least on my 'putor, I can fly anywhere without crashing. 3D flying is a different story, but I digress...

well, I've been talking to my r/c buddy about the Blades and he was so impressed, that he went out and bought himself one. More space on his credit card than me.[>:]

So my question is, do i need to find a cpp with a different crystal, in order to fly with him?

Yes you will need a different frequency, otherwise you guys will have to take turns. If you live on the same street you may even have a problem flying in your respective houses, because the range is up to 500 yards or better.

I'm pretty sure that the odds of getting two with the same crystal are pretty low, possible, but low. Find out what his is and when you get yours just make sure it's not the same. If it is just pick another (if there is others to choose from).

It's for the Balde CP but the set up is the same for the CPP.

yea make sure u have different frequency.
once apon a time, i was driving my savage and it just took off down the street and smoked a curb
i killed it and got in my car and started driving down to the rc store. i got about about 1/4 mile away
and saw someone driving... idk remember what it was, so i stop and found out he was on the same channel was me!
ended up costing me about $30 to fix it


long story short, make sure no one around you is on the same channel

I will go find a CPP on a dif frequency. Wish me luck finding one close by.

My BCP was on the same freq as my brother-in-laws.

I wouldn't worry about finding a BCP on a different freq......just get a diff crystal.

I went and got a new crystal set from my LHS at $10. It was a simple change and now we can both fly (err.....crash) together!
