Elevator Aileron seperation problem
Blade CP PRO 3 in 1 no heading Gyro.
Brand new out of the box pre flite testing. Everything tested correctly except for the Ele Ail seperation. Testing is as follows: Placed heli on table with the skids clamped to the table. Set all trims on transmitter to center except the main rotor power to down. Turned transmitter on. Plug battery to the 3 in 1 and it armed correctly. While looking at th heli from the front at eye level with the rotor I increased the rotor speed to 50%. There is no wabble and no viberations. With the rotor speed at 50% I moved the Elv stick forward a small amount and all is fine there is no movement in the Ail. When I increase the Elv more forward THe Ail kick in and the rotor tilts to one side along with the rotor tilting forward towards the front of the heli like it is supposed to do. The problem is the aileron tilt is happening at the same time with no aileron action on the stick. It looks like there is cross talk between the Ele and the Ail. Now what I need to know is where do I start to trouble shoot this problem and fix it before I make my first flite and do a flip into the ground on lift off. In my past experience with fixed wing aircraft if I get cross talk between servos I replace the receiver with a better one that doesn't have cross talk. IF this is the case on the CP PRO will there be a fix for it by replacing the 3 in 1 or replacing the transmitter. Or will the supplier trade out the whole CP PRO for a good working unit? RE: Elevator Aileron seperation problem
it's all good =)
that is actually called gyroscopic procession and is just a phenomina of heli's and rotating things in general. All hel's do this, and actually if you look at the cx2 you will see that the servo's are a good 135 degrees or so out of alignment where they should be if I remember right. Give her a whirl and get her light on the skids, it will have a tendancy to drift left until you get it about 2 to 3 feet in the air, but if you still have problems with that, let us know and we'll help you from there =) GL |
RE: Elevator Aileron seperation problem
Unplug both the main and tail motors. Then again plug in your battery and try the servo movements. With out the rotor turning it is easier to see how the servo's react to your inputs. As you increase the throttle all three servo's should lower at the same time.
When I purchased my Blade CP Pro, one of the rear servo's was bad and did not move and gave the affect of a uncommanded turn. |
