Good Bye Blade 400, I'll miss ya
 

Well guys, the blade 400 did its job, taught me cp flight and control. I've learned to fly and work on these types of birds thoroughly. The blade was very fun to upgrade and fly around, but I've sold her and got me a TREX 450!!!!! Just like I promised. This one was owned by one of the baddest 3-d pilots in dallas. I even MADE money on the sale, and kept my radio. Well, seeya on the REX side! This baby flys like a dream!

I had em all, blade cx, blade cp, cp pro, axe cp, n they all sucked, the most fun I've had was the b400 and my air hoggs micro.

right, the guys at the club say everytime I ugrade my bird, my skills evolve. I went from slamming the axe cp into the ground to hovering the b400 in a matter of 2 days. I have gained enough knowledge to share with the masses now!

I am keeping my B400, its probably one of the best cheaper heli to really learn from without fussing with it. My noobish flying skills wouldn't know the difference between a Trex and a B400, its many years beyond my capabilities, not to mention its very forgiving. My Trex 500 is on order I cant wait.

Funny I have been flying my B400 like an airplane, cuz if I fly too slow I am thinking its gonna stall and crash :eek:

Wow 2 days and sold your B400 already? Did you get a chance to flip it or some inverts?

I actually had it for 2 weeks, but it took me two days to learn to fly. Inverting was done on it, but by someone else who had the balls to try it. I'm gonna do the rest of my training on the trex.

I hate to jump on the coat tails but i did. I have had the 400 for 3 weeks and can hold a good hover now at 4 to 5 feet and move it around. Its great but the lure of the Trex450 has caught me. I watched the guy at the LHS fly the 450sa ARF kit and i was sold. I bought it on Saturday. Got all the servos today and the Futaba GY401 will be here tomorrow. I plan to build the 450 and keep flying the 400 till its done and i get better. This is my first heli ever and i am hooked.

I must add that the difficulities in getting parts for the 400 and the items being on backorder has helpped make the jump to the 450. Besides, i can close my eyes and find a Align part.

Hey I think I might go to a Trex someday too, but I plan to learn on my B400. Also I think I would go bigger if I ever got anoher Heli, saw a 600 the other day and it was amazing. Wish I could fly like that.

Well today I finally had enough courage for my first loops and rolls, wow it was easy on the B400! The B400 is extremely light with excellent power to boot. I am enjoying putting a lot of time on the B400 before trying it on my Rex. I did a hesitated roll at invert and it held well, this is all stock setup.

i finally got my B400 and im so happy with it. im quite a noob(only ever had the CX, but i tried the sim and im good now. for some reason i understand exactly what each thing is going to do, so i know in the back of my mind what the heli will do. im totally hooked on it, but im learning fast so hopefully ill be able to fly inverted within a few weeks. whats the Trex 450 SE like? i heard with everything it comes to like $1000 which made me say no. but what is so good about it anyway? is the 400 good anyway?

I think part of that $1000 is for the transmitter. You could use the transmitter, receiver, battery, servos, and gyro from the B400 on the T-Rex. There are SE kits that have the motor, ESC, and battery for $470. I have a Belt CP which is comparable to the B400 and I love it. I am more interested in scale flying than 3D so I don't need all the precision from a T-REX.

haaahahahahahahaha, reading these forums over time, you seem to be quite the pilot with these heli's. Have video to share by chance ? I read you can take em inverted ? I wanna see. ;) Hate to see that balsa fuse when it smacks the ground. LMAO !

the trex is very, very, very responsive. Its heavier and quick than the b400, but until you aquire the skills to use all of that snappiness, its no better that hovering the b400.
