CP Pro - Warning! - Ball Joints!!
 

Hi,
I'm new to the forums here. I just bought a Blade CP Pro and just noticed (after 3 batteries of flight time) that the lower ball joints on the fly bar links are not connected - the ball is not in the socket. I did some pre flight checking but totally missed this. Luckily the geometry up there pretty much traps the ball and socket close enough so it still functions - kind of. This is definitely a big oversight by the assembler, and the test pilot at E-flite. I just wanted to share this observation so other owners could check for this.

Yah, you got to check that. Even after adjusting tracking it can be tough to get thos to seat right. Nice pics TX!!

I think the test flight is a load of BS, I set one up for a family member and when I flew it the gain on the gyro gain was so high it wagged its tail to the point where I had to immediately land it.

i agree, the tx i got with mine originally had a direct short in the throttle trim pot and it smoked itself as soon as i turned it on, so they couldn't have used it to test fly it - they finally sent me a new one and another cp as well, so i couldn't complain, but there's no way they could have test flown it with that tx - must be one test station on the assy line where they plug it in and see if the motor turns or something
