using the simulator

Until I upgrade my computer videocard for Realflight, I'm trying to use the helisim free download. I used my Real flght tx and it worked briefly then quit. Now I want ot see if my cx2 tx will work with the helisim. So far, people say, there's no way. How can I connect my tx to my computer and use Helism? Or any suggestions about any way to do this.
Thanks

I have HeliSim and Clearview and both worked with my DX6i and a USB cable from GWS. My Dx6i had to be sent to Horizon for repairs and I tried
to use my CX2 tx and I could not get it to work. I do know that the CX2 tx does not like to have a mono plug used on it. I tried to buddy box it
to my DX6i with a 1/8 mono to mono plug and the CX2 tx batterys got warm and it run them down real fast. I got a stereo cable and it conected
the two together ok. I tried to use the stereo cable from CX2 to my computer microphone jack and I couldent get any of the controles to work.
From what I have read is you need to download a program called PP Joy to get to work with the mic jack but I never tried it.

I was using my Esky TX and PPJoy to run Clearview and it was a real pain in the butt. I did eventually find someone who knew the setup parameters to get it to work, but I never would have guessed it. On a good day it was just OK. I know that you are saving to get the computer upgraded to use the "Good" sim, but sometimes an interim fix works. I got an Esky Simulator transmitter controller with USB connection for about $30. And I don't use 8 AA cells to fly the sim.

I use the esky usb tx with fms and helisim and both work just fine. I was having a problem with one computer where I tried to get a real futaba tx and cable to work with fms. I installed all sorts of drives including the ppjoy thing, but never got it to work. That seemed to stop the esky from working even after uninstalling everything I could think of. Fortunately I had another computer that didn't have ppjoy on it and the esky worked fine on it. And after I upgraded the main computer with vista 64 the esky usb tx worked just fine too.
