What to do!help please!
I have a blade cp.
so far i have already replaced the main gear/shaft twice. the main blades 3 times tail motor twice canopy spindle blade grips twice. replaced the 2-in-1 with the factory 3-in-1 and a DX6 TX /RX because the original died. I have put alot of cash into this stupid heli in 2 weeks just trying to get a decent hover. Right now as the heli sits it needs 1 new blade grip a new main gear with shaft and 1 servo because some how when ther blade grip broke in mid air it also stripped one of my servo gears causing the heli to land on its side from a 2 foot fall. I have the g90 gyro 2 lipo batteries 1 stock 9.6v battery Should i just sell the heli and find some other one to fly because i am tired of getting 10 seconds of decent hover and something break that is not my fault. I can fly my CX and Mcx like it was second nature to me but this CP has to be the most useless worthless piece of crap that E-FLITE has ever made. i can not even touch it with out the fear of something breaking on it. It has been a pain in the but since my friend give it to me for free and i have spent enough to buy 2 of these birds. can someone give me some advice on what to do? sell and buy something better ? I do have a flight sinulator and i use it daily with my DX6 TX and FMS. I am just so mad because i only went though 3 sets of blades on my CX in the past year i have been flying it. |
RE: What to do!help please!
Set EPA to 50%, set thottle curve to 1-60%. Use Expo to give smaller changes towards center stick.
Once you've done some of that it's a lot less erratic.(If it has trouble getting off the ground, or if the motor is overly strained trying to keep the blades going with whatever pitch is needed to life the helicopter, you'll need to adjust the throttle higher. |
RE: What to do!help please!
so i should just replace the blade grips with metal ones?
replace the crappy servos and buy a century main gear and shaft seeing as the stock main gear and shaft bends real easy? |
RE: What to do!help please!
Collective pitch helis are always going to be harder than a co-axial. I had the same experience you are going through. I just set aside the CPP and got a Belt CP and I could hover it for a full pack on the first try. Where as I was crashing the CPP left and right. If you step up to a 400-450 sized heli I think you will have more enjoyable experience. The spindles and mainshafts are thicker and can take some abuse. It took a few crashes before I bent my spindle and mainshaft in my T-Rex 450. My main gears don't strip. It usually just needs new blades after a crash.
That is just my 2 cents. Nick |

RE: What to do!help please!
I just went out today and bought blade 400 PNP heli!!
I am waiting for my DX6 to fully charge and my LIPO 11.1v2100MAh to charge. does anyone have the DX6 setup for the blade 400? i am looking for the most stable and easy flight setup not the crazy 3d carry a extra pain of underwear setup lol. I have heard from alot of people that a belt driven tail rotor heli is the best way to go. |
RE: What to do!help please!
in d/r expo
0 100% 15% 0 100% 15% o 100% 15% pitch cur L 40 2 55 3 75 4 85 H 100 thro adj 100 100 100 100 100 100 when you change these setting in the thro adjust you have to move the sticks to change both poramitters so when you have the left stick down you`ll see the arrow next to the alli pointing down. when you move the same stick up the arrow will point up the values can be changed in each direction same is for every setting in thro adjust this can get tricky and throw the heli off if not done properly |

I have 2 CPP's and that's all they are as they sit on the shelf is a memory...:D Bad 400 gave ya some great helpful stuff, and also there is a Blade 400 "bible" that will show ya some nooby settings also but mainly offers a host of useful information on the B-400... I'd save that site for future reference also. Congrats ! :D Keep us updated, and report back here or on a new post on your first hovers/flights with it ! http://www.slyster.com/heli/b400bible.html#thirteen ~ Jeff |
RE: What to do!help please!
Darkfoxx,
That is the best thing you could have done! My CPP is collecting dust, just like Jeff's...lol!;) Once you get the hang of the B400, which is much easier (not easy, but easier), you'll never look back at the CPP again! Looks like Jeff and bad400 gave you some excellent advice there.... Let us know how you do with it! Glenn |
