Default Set-up question

I am in the process of building a Sig Tri-Star. The kit calls for a .09-.15 sized gas or a .05 electric. I am intending to go with a brushless set-up in it and was wondering what was the equal to a .15 glow and or a .05 electric. I want to have plenty of power and speed so I was looking toward the top end of the scale. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check out Hobbypartz Exceed Rocket Motors [link]http://hobbypartz.com[/link]3010-1400kv. I think this motor with an 8x6 eprop on 3s battery would probably work pretty good, or there is a 1700kv motor the same size, but I think an 8x6 prop would be to much for it more like 7x6 to 8x4 with the 1700kv and shorter flight time.

What kind of speed would you expect out of that 3010-1400 with the 8-6 prop? I know nothing about electrics except how to safely handle lipos and such. I do deal with hobypartz and looked up that motor. I already have plenty of 3s 2200 lipos' so I just need a good ESC for it. Any suggestions? Just finished building the fuse so after a sanding job and putting the wing halves together I will put the covering on and go to it. Figure if I go on and order the power now the timing will be right. By the way, was it a typo when you said "eprop" or was that a certain type of prop?

I would go with a 40 amp esc not sure of the speed but it should do good. I was referring to an Apc E-prop, Apc electric props come in Slow flyer which are wide blades and flexable, e-props are more like glow props only lighter, the hub is not as heavy and the blades are narrower. I would ask your original question in the glow to electric convertion forum, you would probably get more suggestions.
