Default Midwest Aerostar 40

Hi all. Could you please tell me if a midwest aerostar 40 would make a good electric conversion and if so what motor and battery pack would be a good choice. Thanks.

No not really. You would need a 800watt motor or larger and a 5000ma lipo 5cell. The battery would be located in the fuel tank compartment (too small).Balancing would be a problem. The fuse would need major surgery.

Why would it not make a good conversion?

The only thing I can see is that you may need to make taller gear.

If you want a nice easy flier a Tacon .32 with a 4s 4000mah battery.

If you want a lot of extra power a Tacon .46 with a 5s 5000 battery.
