Default HobbyZone SuperCub turning problems

Its been awhile since i posted here, anyway I have a hobbyzone supercub lp 3 channel and the darn thing is just hard to turn, bank or pull out of a right handed turn..It dosnt respond at all to the rudder movenment..I guess im asking what is better to have it turnable or manuverable with more tail weight or more nose heavy? Its like the rudder yaw has no effect but a little, the rudder is able to move both ways to where it just about touches the elevator..Any help on why i cant turn much or pull out of a turn more rapidly..Thank you!

Your wing may not have enough dihedral to translate yaw (created by the rudder) into wing banking. In this case, the plane will just slip sideways through the air after a heading change. If possible, try to increase the wing's dihedral angle (V) to make rudder turning more responsive. An alternative is to consider adding ailerons. You will definitely improve turning response with this modification.

Good job! I'm glad you got it flying properly. I had experienced the same problem with one of my scratch-built planes. The dihedral angle was set at only 3-4 degrees, and rudder turning was terrible. One of my earlier ships, a Gentle Lady, had polyhedral wings and had excellent rudder turning.

Good luck with your future flights!

Thanks for taking the time to post what did correct your problem. That will help others. Wish more people would do that.
