Econokote question

Can you use Econokote on a lighweight balsa park flyer kit? Does it shrink up more than monokote?

Yes, it will. A better option is Solite, from Stevansaeromodel. Made just for those parkflyers.

One other small item is that econokote works best over a solid surface (sheeting), and NOTHING is capable of sticking to it properly.
