Default Lithums, paralell and serial connections.

Hello,
Please tell me if this is okay to do:
Get battery out of hi-8 camera by sony- snaps in and out and recharges.
The battery has circuits in it that disable it if shorted
(full throttle with a 400 means plane turned off in air)
The speed controller has circuits in it that turn off throttle if battery isn't supllying enough current.
Do these two safeguards guarantee good lithium methods?
I left it on for 20 minutes 1/2 throttle yesterday.
My plane is like a Zagi but EPS foam. The 400 is tapes on a post on top. Its a fun little thing.
The battery charges in 2 hours.

If this all sounds okay then I'd like to know if it is possible to hook lithiums up in series or paralell?

By hooking batteries up paralell you get the same volts, twice the mAh, and more output potential - my idea here is that since Lithiums can't handle strong draw then putting groups of seriesd blocks parallell with another would let them handle the full draw of the 400.
I also have a lite stik and want to go lithium badly- the nicd's are prettly short lasting.

Thanks,
Steve

Since lions are potentially very explosive this is all at your own risk, but in general yes you could do series/paralell to get the voltages and amperages you want using identical cells. Much safer to do with Poly Lions and is done in some of the packs Radical sells.
