Default Thunder Power Balancing Leads

I have used Thunder Power LiPos with good results. HOWEVER, [:@] their smaller battery packs (2100mah) have balancing leads that are way too short and soldered to the very corner of the pack with no support (shrink wrap, etc.). As a result, ANY movement of the balancing leads causes the solder points to fail. You can't tape the leads to the side of the pack becasue they are too short and taping makes it difficult to attach the lead from the balancer. You can't add shrink wrap to the top end of the pack because the leads are too short. About the only thing I haven't tried yet is to poor epoxy around all of the solder points - difficult to re-solder if they still break off.

I called Thunder Power and their warranty department said they will re-solder them but "they can't change the wiring to solve the problem". No solution there and I am surprised by their lack of interest despite an awareness of the problem.

What other LiPos do you recommend that don't suffer from this annoying design flaw?

Default RE: Thunder Power Balancing Leads

I've had same issue with my Electrifly packs. I have several thunderpower & Apache packs and have not had that issue.

One issue I have is why isn't there a common, uniform plug to charge these packs with? I'm forever searching for the right male femaile combination to charge with..
