I am looking to build an electric that will out run a dominator 500 with a piped 46. Any suggestion on plane, motor, battery, and esc would be great. I am really looking hard at the strike 1/2 A?

Well, for one, you don't need an ESC. If you want to go fast it's either full throttle or off. Just like the hotliners.

If you want to go fast with a shrike use a mega 16/15/3 on 8 to 10 cells, 4.7x4.7, 35 amp esc and you'll have speed!. Or you could use the 16/15/2 for more and a smaller prop and more amps, or a hacker B20-12L on 6-7 cells.
Check out the VIP. They can go 130 with the hacker. And a Stinger for go that with a 3 turn.
