Hi, am new to the forum and based in the UK.
Just started out with RTF's and saw the article around gluing and repairs; used my Silverlit B737 for the first time and , after several nosedives finally sorted out the trim /re-bending the stabilisers with kettle steam.
The nose had almost snapped through and I ended up with a split wing; both seem to have been fixed by 5 min Araldite, but is there another option?
Wish Id got into this earlier :-)

For the 'normal' foam you can use rubber based contact glue. Apply lightly on both sides, then let it dry before you put the 2 parts together. Works better that way. You get that sort of glue when you purchase GWS planes.

3dhobbyshop uses Homax Welder contact cement for their epp 3d foamies. It can be purchased at Lowes. I am going to try it on the Grayson hobby epp Sukhoi as soon as it gets here which should be at the end of this week. I have tried the Beacon Foam tac and it works but it is expensive because of shipping cost and it dries out and you can't thin it back out.
The Homax welder is like $4 from Lowes and you get two 1 oz tubes.
