Finesse 1.20 patern plane Electric conversion
 

I bought this Finesse 1.20 pattern plane. I am going to restore it and after seeing the latest AMA issue, I am wondering if there is a electric motor that would power it. The plane requires a 1.20 four stroke, what motor would I need and also how would I setup the motor with a controller for the motor, if it can be done.

You want something in the 8S or 10S range ... you want to turn something like an 18x10. You can look at a motor in the 250KV (8S) or 230KV (10S) range ... see what Sebart recommends for the Wind S 110 ... that is a good baseline. :) I am running a Scorpion 4035-250 on 10S for my Wind S 110, its best on 8S actually, a slightly lower KV motor would be nice got 10S.
