Corona R8FA Receiver binding problem

I bought a R8FA Corona Receiver and I can not get it to bind. I am using a Futaba 9c with a TM8 Fasst transmitter. I turn on the transmitter and hold the F/s button on the back, then turn on the receiver. Red light continues to flash on receiver. I have tried the TM8 on both 7 channel and 8 channel modes. Can anyone help???
