Warning for new people!!

I got attacked by my Valiant RC plane this evening. I shut my controller off after binding and checking servo function, then it went crazy, full throttle, and sliced my foot open! Always disconnect battery first!

Throttle was down all the way, clicked it off, and bam, full throttle.

Probably need stiches now, as both slashes are deep.

go to a urgent care already .instead of scaring other with your warning.. you never turn radio off b4 removing battery 1st..

Probably should put a warning in the manual about that. Like this:
"Be sure to unplug your space heater before taking a bath with it."

\That is not the way to help anyone... I see new pilots once a week on average at our field and other places flying electric and it is a problem... Electrics are like an unloaded gun... no such thing... many stories of electrics coming on in homes and doing all kinds of damage... I have been in hobby shops when an electric comes to life for all kinds of reasons... Nothing more dangerous that an electric in the hands of a newbie... try helping... maybe try to remember when you did not know it all...

Maybe put in a statement like "Always keep transmitter powered ON while aircraft is powered." ----- Wait that is already in the manual.

I know it's not fool-proof but I always set up a kill switch on the tx as well.
