Has anyonw seen or know of anyone who has build the Great Planes Electric Ryan? I am considering making it my next plane but would like a review or two.

I have seen two magazine writeups and both were very favorable, so much so I bought one, have not built it yet. Both also used brushless motors instead of the supplied.

Haven’t built or flown this model but sure would appreciate any info from those who may have. I really like the Ryan – Spirit of St. Louis airplane due to its high-wing configuration and the significant role it played in aviation history. Our club lost the big open space we had for our club field so I’m seriously looking at smaller models such as Park Flyers now.
Of particular interest is the material the model is constructed of, how it steers on the ground, and of course if the supplied motor has plenty of power (am used to glow engines).
