Good second plane?
Well, I've finally had a chance to fly my Sky Scooter. I have 3 batteries through it and only one crash. I'm thinking Christmas would be a good time to ask for a new plane, but I'm not sure what to get. Any suggestions?
Thanks |
RE: Good second plane?
What kind are you looking for wing, another trainer, or something aerobatic??
Also do you have li-poly of nickle metal batteries? |
RE: Good second plane?
Well, I don't want to use Li-Poly batteries for sure (at least not for a while). I'm thinking somthing aerobatic would be good (not 3D though).

RE: Good second plane?
The GWS Formosa is a good acrobatic airplane that doesn't need li-poly bats.

RE: Good second plane?
OK. Do you have a link for it? Well this is the list I have come up with so far.
Wattage Super Impress Wattage Ultimate Bipe Wattage Giles G-202 Wattage Cap 232 Wattage F-86 Wattage Mig-15 Pigi 3D Eagle Ta-138 Hucklebein T-6 Texan He-162 Salmander ThreeDee Swift Racer Super Miss All the planes that arn't Wattage are from Hobby-Lobby.com. So from those which ones would be good and wich one wouldn't be good? Thanks! |
RE: Good second plane?
Yep, you can get it here: http://www.monsoonrc.com/planes/gws/formosa/formosa.htm

RE: Good second plane?
I just saw the CAP 232 on your list and I have seen several of them fly. I would not recommend that one for a second plane. They want to fly fairly fast and from what they told me require you to be one step ahead of them at all times. I should add I have seen two of the three crash. It is a plane for experienced pilots only.

RE: Good second plane?
I recommend, in order of preference:
Slow Stick Tiger Moth (IPS) GWS P-51 (you can use your sky scooter packs in this one.) Formosa |
RE: Good second plane?
the Formosa is good..it was my first plane..and it is now very old..but still doing rolls and all of those crazy things..like a natural..still one of my fav. planes! I've also flown the scooter..ya..recommend you change..isnt that challenging to fly the scooter huh?
