Elevator to throttle mixing

Friend is flying a Filip 600 with brushless AXI and 10 cells. (Yes, it's way overpowered). Pitches up HARD with power on. Redoing the thrust line is probably not at option.
Does anyone use a mix to add in down elevator while under power?? This is my easiest idea to correct the pitching.
Thanks,
Bill

I dont think radios offer that option on them. Maybe try adding some down elevator trim to compensate for the upwards action. My foamy tries to fly upwards for some reason now to, but I think thats because of my ailerons not being correctly aligned. But, I fixed the ailerons now, so I think that might have fixed it. I have to wait to see how it flies, and maybe fix something else if it still flies goofy.[&:]

You can do that mix if your radio has programmable mixes. I do the same thing on my Slinger wing so that when I back off the throttle the elevator is at the right trim for power off glide. I doubt it would take much at all to correct it. Start about 2% down at full throttle. If your radio is easy to adjust while flying, take off while at the % setting that needs tuned in. Get up to altitude and set elevator trim at low throttle then got to full throttle with the mix on and start adjusting till it flies level. You may still need to fine tune it but that will get it pretty close real quick.

Motor down thrust would fix the problem also.

That's what I was thinking, the plane is trimmed for glide, just need the power on elevator mix. He is using a Hitec Eclipse, should be able to program a P-mix or use a flight mode switch. I'll be getting a Filip for myself and I'm watching his closely to ease my setup.

Thrust line modification might not be feasible, but thrust ANGLE should not be a big deal to change. A few small washers to angle the motor down a bit will make all the difference in the world.

You're right, Matt. I mixed up the terms and forgot totally about using the washer method to change the angle. I used this routinely, in my slimer days. That's another fix if needed.

just a thaught. affix behind the prop a formed piece of plastic.maybe from a soda bottle heated around a permanent marker.Cut at a 45* angle and affix to the frount of the fusalage. It may divert enouph down force to nutralize the tendancy to atempt a moon shot.
This pic may help show the picture in my mind. Long shot but who knows stranger things have worked
