CAP 232

hey! i really want to get into flying...but im not sure if i want to stay with it....i want an electric plane...i dont have any airclubs or anything by me so i want something to fly around a baseball or football field....so i did some research and i found the CAP 232....it says its good for loops and tricks and stuff....and i thought if i did stick with the hobby it would last me a while...so what do you think?

Have you ever flown an R/C plane before? If not, you will find it extremely difficult -- some would say impossible -- to fly the CAP 232.

This is especially true if you will be learning to fly by yourself. Without the help of an experienced pilot, you need a trainer-type aircraft -- a stable, slow, easy to fly plane. That's not the CAP 232!

My choice would be something like the [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHCJ2&P=ML]Slow Stick[/link]. Perhaps other people will add their own recommendations.

I queue up on that: If you start with a CAP (or Edge or Giles or Extra or a WW2 or any other low-winged plane) I`m afraid you will never stick with this amasing hobby!
Just admit it; you need a good trainer which takes some beating. Since I hate the ugly Sticks I would recommend a MiniMag from Multiplex. Take a look: http://www.multiplex-rc.de/hp/produk...p?lfdnr=214211
OK, it don`t look cool but I guarantee this plane could give you a proper entry to the hobby.

Just because I love my hobby and hope you will get in to it too ;)

In the training section there is a list of recommended beginner aircraft. My favorite is the GWS Tiger Moth. The little one. I also like the GWS F-Stick. Either one will get you into this hobby with equipment that you can move into other models.

I learned to fly on the GWS Pico Tiger Moth. Great little plane and still lots of fun to fly.
