Help engine cut out
I am recently new with electrics. My problem is I have an axi 281410 coupled to an e-flite 40 brushless esc and driven by a 2100mAh Li-po battery. On some flights everything is fine but on most the engine shuts down. Can anyoe help??

RE: Help engine cut out
if it cuts out after a sertan time of flying, that is your BEC. what that stands for is battery eliminating curcuit. it cuts your engine so you can still have control of your plane and land it, before you use all your enerdgy. it will cut when the battery gets to a sertan voltage.

RE: Help engine cut out
take it to your local hobby shop. thell them your situation. by the sounds of it, theres somthing wrong with your speed control. they would be more then happy to check it out for you. if it is bad, if u got it from them they should replace it, if not, send it to e-flite to have it repaired or replaced. e-flite is generaly good with that stuff.

RE: Help engine cut out
Zackesch,
You are confusing the LVC (low voltage cutoff) with the BEC. The programable LVC prevents you from running the battery too low thereby losing the power to your radio. Clarkinaus, You need to know how much current you are pulling at full throttle, beg, borrow or buy a Whatt meter;) Good luck, Pete |
RE: Help engine cut out
If you can not find a watmeter, put on a little smaller prop (to draw less amps) and see if that solves the problem.
