This is so FRUSTRATING

AHHHHH...!!! I can't seem to get the correct prop for slow-stick. I went to my local hobby shop and asked them for the gws slow-stick propellers, he gives me some and says there the same prop as the stock one except there a little shorter (less than 1 cm). They look alike except for ones jut a little smaller than the other. The guy at my lhs said they would work fine. Sooo I put them on my ss and took it out to fly, (I noticed that the power was a little lower than usuall on the benchtest), batteries were all full and I have changed nothing since I got new props. I hit the throttle and it got little lift (8 inches), and then after flying a foot or so it would nose dive. Setting were all the same to. I know it's the prop because It used to fly fine with stock prop. I don't know what's wrong!!!![:@]

Thanks!

PS: It was the same pitch as the stock prop. And prop was not backwards.... tried both ways.

You need to give us your setup. Battery, Motor, Gear drive, etc. Based on that we can probably make a pretty good guess as to the prop you need. Most likely you need a GWS 12 X 6.

Welp got some good news.... Just thought I'd change the prop around, and put a different one on it and ther she goes..:D It's seems stronger than before. Then I switched back to the prop that never seemed to work for me and nope, It just was not near;y the same power. Sooo problem solved.

Thanks!

Props are marked with their size, in diameter and pitch. Generally they are molded into the hub or a blade. Just look for the numbers and get props that have matching numbers.

The size of a prop has a PROFOUND effect on the performance of the plane. A little shorter, but a lot less pitch, and you won't have the poop to participate anymore. That's probably what happened here.

Just get the same size prop and you will be fine.

Evader-

Glad to hear you got the problem solved.

Is there any chance you had the prop on backwards? The molded letters and numbers on the prop must face forward. If the prop is on backwards, it won't produce nearly as much thrust.
