ESC on Parkzone Typhoon 2
 

The ESC on my typhoon has always done this thing where it cuts out for a split second. Its now drastic or anything, just a minor tick. Has anyone else experinced this?

This sounds like a classic glitch, where the receiver momentarily loses the signal from the transmitter. This can be the result of interference from another radio source or from flying into a spot where the transmitter signal is weak, for whatever reason.

See if this happens when the antenna of your transmitter is pointing directly at the plane. I've been told that the radio signal is weakest along the axis of the antenna. My Typhoon, and all of the other planes that I equiped with "replacement" Typhoon Rxs so that I can use the Typhoon transmitter, have this problem. As long as I make sure to keep the plane from crossing the line of the antenna, I get no glitches. But if I allow the plane to fly across the antenna's projeection, sometimes it glitches and sometimes it does not.

That is absolutely true. Another thing to take note of is whether the glitch occurs when the plane is over the same general area of your flying field. Sometimes a nearby structure can cause a glitch that occurs in the same general location every time. Things like power lines and even metal fences are sometimes to blame.
