I assume you mean 2 escs plugged into a Y harness and then the throttle channel on the rx. The shoort answer is "Yes." That's how EFlite tells you to set up their P-38. They also say you do not have to disconnect the power lead to one of them. Some people say you should. E-Flite states that leaving the power leads to both escs connected will allow you to run more/bigger servo. I'm not an EE, but I know that when you parallel two batteries you double the discharge capability so it makes sense.

Yes.
I do that with no problems.

When you connect two ESCs into a receiver with a Y-harness, without clipping the power lead on one of the receiver connectors, you are connecting two BECs (or voltage regulators) together in parallel. Some BEC/regulators can be connected together like this to increase the total BEC current output, but some cannot (small differences in regulator voltages can cause the BECs to fight each other and they may burn out). Be sure to follow the instructions from the ESC's manufacturer.
