I am a old timer with a simple question. The only receivers I have had in my aircraft (sen. 1972) have been duel conversion. The question is "will single conversion receivers operate with the same transmitters on frec?"

Wish you would have stated what kind of Tx you will use. All Jr Tx are single conversion Except the 2.4 units, don't know what they are. My question to you would be why would you wish to use single conversion anyway (with the exception of the JR 's since they use different means of provideing selectivity).

Transmitters are not dual or single conversion, only receivers have that classification. The same transmitter can be used with either type of receiver.

Getting back to the question asked in post #1 the answer is yes.
However , now we are into the AM/FM/PCM/Gold Stickered question(s).

At the price of new 2.4GHz systems I would advise that you simply move on and forget trying to resurrect the old stuff. It is more trouble and expense than you might imagine.

Why would you need to go to less distance & more interference SINGLE CONVERSION ?

Smaller planes are the only reason I can think of. If that. Go for it, if money is a little tight right now.
Smaller planes HAVE to be kept closer because they are hard to control & see at DOUBLE CONVERSION distances.
