Would you imagine that's not helping? Jeeze. I don't care what landing gear it is, I would like to know if anyone can tell me what kind of plane this is. Thanks.

RE: Need Help Identifying Plane.

You need to down size the pic so the whole plane can be seen

Nope, I can't. That's all I have. Even when downsized, that's all I have. A friend showed it to me and I can't figure it out. Sorry, but that's all I got. I was hoping some plane expert would be able to help, turning out it's hard to find on here isn't it.

RE: Need Help Identifying Plane.

How in the world do you expect anyone to be able to answer that question with a picture that only shows closeup shot of a pair of retractable landing gear and a partial shot of a muffler?

Geez, let's see, could be and Edge 540, Cap 232, Extra 300, a low wing warbird (P51, P38, any Axis plane FW-190), could even be a BiPlane or WWI era plane, maybe a Hi wing plane.

It's a gasser that has retractable landing gear and it probably is not a jet by the way it is sitting. I'd say it's most likely a low wing plane (pattern, warbird, etc...) but that's probably the best 'answer' you are going to get unless someone built that exact plane and has built it the exact same way.

Your question and picture is the equivalent to me asking you what word am I thinking of but I can't tell you how many letters it contains, but it does contain the letter 'a').

Man you know, I can almost guess what that word is, like wow. Okay, no need for a smart (word contain and A) remark. I said that's all I got, if someone knew it that's be great, if not, then okay. Like wow, I was expecting a good answer..I found another photo..Idk if it will help, it might. Anyone Guess now?

"Like Wow", Let me refresh your short term memory with the following smart *** comment you posted previously. I'd suggest not posting one if you can't take one back.

Anyhow, It's an AT-6 Texan. the canopy, the colors on the cowl and the 40's era logo help.

Probably wasn't the best worded reply I've ever posted. If I would have taken a step back and thought about it, the retractable landing gear eliminated alot of the choices (biplane, pattern plane and the way it was sitting eliminated it as being a jet.) So that pretty much put it in the WWII class of planes. My apologies for my previous reply. Take Care [8D]

A glance of the canopy also told me which plane it is.

YXZ123....Is this a game you are playing? You said you only had the one image and you HAD to know what airplane it was.

Then, when no one responded with any intelligent answers you magically posted a second image of the same plane yet revealing just a touch more information.

Not a bad little game.

Just my opinion.
