Light on DX7 Receiver
 

When i land after a flight and want to put in a fresh battery, the light on my AR7000 received flashes instead of coming on solid which means it needs to bind to the transmitter. If I turn the transmitter off, remove the used battery, turn the transmitter back on, insert the new battery, everything is fine. It only fails if I leave the transmitter on while changing batteries. Any ideas?</p>

Yes. Don't leave the Tx on. Turn it off after you fly. Install the new battery in the plane, then turn the transmitter back on and then plug in the battery in the plane. problem solved.

It's telling you that it had a power failure, not that it's not bound.

It's not smart enough to know that the power failure was caused by you changing the battery. If the reciever powers up and sees the transmitter on the last two channels it used it assumes the power went off and flashes the lights.

It works perfectly well with the lights flashing though.

As Jim said, the way to get the transmitter to pick two new channels is to turn it off and on again.
