Parkzone J3 or Hobbyzone Champ?
As a first trainer, i have managed to narrow it down to these 2,
Prefer the J3 for its more scale looks and spares , but possibly the Champ for its better ability to handle an extra mph of air movement due to the slightly larger size??
Also, are these 2 of a similar build quality
Any comments greatly appreciated,
Tia Geoff

Not being an engineer and just a sport flyer, the Champ wins hands down. A little bigger and a little cheaper with a little bigger motor. When I broke my first Champ, I bought the bnf J-3 because I figured since it was $10 more than the Champ and no controller, it must be more airplane. I was never happy with the J-3 and at first opportunity replaced it with another Champ and I use the controllers to pair with bnf mCX's and mSR's for friends and family.

Champ!! my son has one and we also have the UM J-3 Cub and the Champ wins hands down. Unless your a scale junkie, then the Cub is your plane.

A couple other things I forgot to answer. I, heavy on the I, think they have the exact same quality build and I'd be surprised if the 2 assemply lines don't run side by side. The Champ is a couple inches bigger, has a slightly bigger motor, and no glued on fake motors to fall off. the repair on both is exactly the same, and the same things break. The Champ goes up almost every day in my backyard and patrols and astounds the neighborhood at dusk.. When they are broken beyond repair, the parts go in a box, the tx's always go in the giveaway box, I buy a new one, bind it to my DX6i, and keep on moving. As I progress, and fly completely alone, these things now last in pristine condition, except for maybe glueng a broken wing in half back together and a little tape, for 6 months or better.....
