Default Domeflytech: Battery warmer box.

A couple of years ago, my friend came up with the idea of using thermal pocket heaters. These work well as a heat source being safe, cheap and long lasting. At first we just laid the heaters right on top of the battery like a blanket. This worked, but you had to keep rearranging the batteries and you could only fit just a couple of batteries under the pocket warmer.

The solution was to use a 6″ square stackable Snapware box I got from Target. This was the right size to hold my batteries and fit in my flightbox. The only needed change was to riddle it with many 1/8th holes to allow the pocket warmer to breathe and therefore work. This has worked well keeping the batteries reasonably warm, and lasting the whole night on just one pocket warmer.
