prop saver bands?

Default prop saver bands?

I just flew my first elect plane yesterday = the pop wing from Nitroplanes , my problem is every time i land it the freeking prop pops off ,(maybe why there called pop wings ) and iv lost my black prop saver bands to hold on my props...can i use reg rubberbands or does anybody have a better way to do this?

Unless you can stop the propeller in the horizontal position just before each landing, your prop is going to pop off, in order to save the weak shaft of the motor.

O-rings are ideal, but you could use regular rubber bands if they give enough to release the prop upon impact and strong enough to keep the prop attached to the shaft at max rpms'.

You could also build some protection for the prop not to touch the ground, made out small piano wire.

Go to your medical supply store and get a few ft. of rubber pipe called Theraband. It's used for stretching exersizes for therapy. Slice it up with scissors or a knife about 1/8 in. long. These rubber bands will work much better than the neoprene rubber O rings.
