Hi everyone,
After running across this Forum, I couldn't resist joining up!
I've been interested in RC Modeling since I was a young pup. In 1970, when I was 8 years old,
my Father introduced me to the Sport with my first control line Bi-Plane, and I've been hooked
ever since.
He was a Fighter Pilot in the Air Force, and liked to fly the Large Scale Planes, having Dogfights
with his friends on weekends at an old abandoned Airport, trying to cut a 10' streamer off of his
opponents tail. (Usually ending up in a spectacular crash)
Now that my Son is old enough to appreciate the sport, I'd like to get him involved in this new
and exciting field of Micro Flight. I love the fact that you can fly these planes and heli's most anywhere.
I've always been a fan of the BigStick, (That’s what I learned to fly), and after seeing dhurd's intro
of the new MiniStik, I thought this would be perfect for my Son and I to try!
I'm really excited about this new hobby and can't wait to get back into the Pilots seat with my Son
Co-Pilot.
I feel fortunate to have run across this Site..it's strange how fate works sometimes.
It's good to meet you all and hope to be able to fly with you sometime.
Dave

Welcome to RCU, Dave. You will find a lot of good info and a lot of good people hanging out here. The MicroStik should be a great beginers' plane for you and your son. DWE's RFFS and MicroStik will allow you to get flying very quickly and should be a very good model. Let's hear how it goes for you.

Hi Dave,
You can follow the thread started by Dan on the Mini Stik and post any questions you may have.
I'll be posting my findings along with some pictures as I review the Mini Stik for DWE.
