Im a new guy, and i want to get into micro planes, but i dont want to by a new micro system, so i was thinking of building a bit plane out of one of those microsizer cars from tower hobbies. But first I have some questions.
#1. do you use the same battery as the car?
#2. do you use the same acutator os the car?
#3. what prop/motor do you use?
Thanks alot.

you COULD use the same battery - better would be a same voltage (1.2v i think) battery with higher capacity......
for a motor, i use a pancake motor out of a portable tape player. rated for 1.2v, so.....
cant use the same actuator because its part of the car (cant be used anywere else). i use a modified micro servo.
modified meaning opened up, had its circuit de-soldered, connected wires to the motor and closed up.
have i been any help? been a lurker for a while. finally decided to register........

hey im kinda a newb to planes, but anyways, i decided to make a bit plane about a month ago and i tried making it work with the battery that was in the car. it dont work. you can get close, but it wont work unless your really expirianced with this stuff.
so dont waste your time with the stock battery, just get a lipoly.
but it really depends on: what plane do you want to make
