Delta Mike,
2208/34 with a GWS EP-0843 (8X4.3) is what I'm using on my Mini 3DX, which is similar to a Shock Flyer. Seems to work great. If using the Axi prop adapter, you will have to drill out the center of the GWS props so that they will fit. I have other props of various sizes and brands that I haven't tried yet.

Don't overlook the AXI 2204/54. I just put one together for indoor flying. It weighs 5oz ready to fly and is a blast outside too.
I like the 2S 340 for indoor, and the 3S 340 for outdoors. The 2204 is plenty of power. I use a SF 8 x 4.3. It draws around 5 amps which is below the rating of the motor, battery, and controller.
Do a search and check out how mnay flyers are using and raving about this setup_bob
